New direction
The art school didn't work this year, but the new direction has been traced. I know where I want to go, and I guess that's where I'll start from.
I think I will actually start by saying hi!
Hey, hi!
While I look for words (English words, added complexity), I feel like my brain gets constantly poked by social constructs and rules on how things should be done. Let me try to clarify the context, to see if this helps:
- This is the platform I chose to create my new online space (bye WordPress?).
- It is a blog-based newsletter system, but I plan to use it as a portfolio too.
- Thanks to the ActivityPub integration they're building, this space has the potential to become so much more. And this is a topic that literally thrills me.
I signed up to Ghost the day I got refused the ammission to art school. I'm 36, full time working as designer and illustrator, but never got into the art school path (hello self-taught fellow designers, I see you). As soon as I found this exciting one-of-a-kind program on Visual Pedagogy at the HEAR in Strasbourg, it was an evidence.
This is what I want to do when I grow up.

My name is Simona, I am a Senior Label Adversion Specialist who plays with visual communication paradigms to facilitate the understanding of sensible, complex, or just valuable matters.
And I can't wait to see where this voyage will bring me.
Hope to have you around here.
